Location

The pair of semi-detached houses is situated on a small hill at the edge of a quiet holiday residential area, less than a mile away from the centre of the seaport Puerto de Mazarrón.

The beach not far away is supervised by lifeguards in the summer, and has been awarded annually with the Blue Flag for some time now; an environmental award for beaches, including in Europe, which the Foundation for Environmental Education has been awarding annually since 1987, and which examines and controls the compliance of certain standards regarding environmental management, water quality, cleanliness, etc. (www.blueflag.org).

En route to the beach you can find several bars/restaurants and a chemist´s.

In Puerto de Mazarrón several supermarkets (e. g. Spar/ Upper, Lidl, Aldi, Mercadona), numerous shops and the daily market at the (Plaza de Abastos) provide everything for your daily needs.  A special highlight is the huge open-air market on Sundays.

Puerto de Mazarrón is situated in the bay of Mazarrón on the Costa Cálida between Cartagena and Águilas, Murcia. The bay is hallmarked by many long sand or pebble beaches  and  a multitude of small scenic and secluded coves, partly accessible by car across unpaved roads, partly only by foot or via the sea.

The seaport of Puerto de Mazarrón not only provides a fishing port in which a fish auction takes place (almost) daily, but also a fancy modern marina with a newly styled promenade sporting numerous restaurants,  most of them open throughout the year.

The tourism office in the centre of Puerto de Mazarrón provides  lots of information in English, too.
